This brand new Passion album contains new studio recordings from best-selling artists Chris Tomlin, Crowder, Matt Redman, and Kristian Stanfill. It features new songs written specifically for Passion 2016. Release Date is January 29, 2016.

my review....
I am always excited to learn about a new album from the Passion Worship band, as time after time I discover new favourites and new songs that I love to belt out at home or sing during times of congregational worship. Passion's latest release, "Salvation's Tide Is Rising", is another solid addition to their collection of albums, featuring many of the top worship leaders of our generation, such as Tomlin, Stanfill, Nockels and Redman. The lyrics are powerful, combining words of praise, heartfelt prayers, and prophetic declaration. As I listened to the album, I found myself dancing with kids to the title track belting out "Let the walls come down in Jesus' name, Let the lost be found in Jesus' name, Let the Church arise to shine Your light to the world". I really enjoy the tight harmonies on the chorus of this song in particular.
I and my family also really enjoyed the song "Remember" which has some catchy riffs and beats paired with lyrics of hope. We all find ourselves at times "Down in the valley, when waters rise", yet we can sing that "I'm still believing, Hope is alive, All through the struggle and darkest day, I'll remember the empty grave". Chris Tomlin's song, "God and God Alone" is instantly singable, and I have no doubt that churches across the nations will soon be praising our God who is forever seated on His throne. Matt Redman's "I Turn To Christ" is a wonderful song of surrender, with beautiful piano that carries the song. Jimi Cravity's song "Surrender" has some amazingly unique instruments and vocalization and I have turned to that song time and time again as well.

My first time listening to the album, I cannot honestly say that any of these songs immediately captured my heart the same way that songs like "Even So Come" did from Passion's prior album. But as I continued to listen to them day after day, the powerful truths of these songs saturated my heart and have lifted me to the very throne of God. The latest Passion album is one that I no doubt will be turning to again and again, and I have no doubt that other fans of Passion are going to enjoy this album as well. I award it a solid rating of 4 out of 5 stars.
