about the book....

In an effort to get her security consulting business off the ground, Kelsey Allen has been spending a lot of time up in the air, rappelling down buildings and climbing through windows to show business owners their vulnerabilities to thieves. When she is hired to pose as a conservator at the Pink Palace Museum in order to test their security weaknesses after some artifacts go missing, she's ecstatic. But when her investigative focus turns from theft to murder, Kelsey knows she's out of her league--and possibly in the cross hairs. When blast-from-the-past Detective Brad Hollister is called in to investigate, Kelsey may find that he's the biggest security threat yet . . . to her heart.

Crackling with romantic tension and laced with intrigue, this suspenseful story from award-winning author Patricia Bradley will keep you guessing--and looking over your shoulder.

my review....

The second "Memphis Cold Case" novel sucked me in from line one with its action-packed scenes, ever-building tension, and characters that captured my sympathy from the moment I met them. I absolutely loved the idea of a female security consultant who fearlessly launches herself off the side of buildings to break into buildings in an attempt to expose their vulnerabilities to thieves! Add in some hacking skills and a mind that never ceases its pursuit of the truth, and Kelsey is quite the character indeed. I enjoyed how Bradley drew the past and the present together as she reveals clue after clue, keeping you guessing as to who the good guys are and who is a wolf in sheep's clothing. The scenes contain just the right amount of description to help you picture what's going on, without detracting from the pace of the suspense. And with a killer who is after Kelsey, and with one close call after another, I can tell you that the pace doesn't let up - just the way I like a great suspense novel to be. While "Justice Buried" is indeed billed as romantic suspense, I can attest that the romance doesn't go too over the top for male readers who are looking for a thriller. Rather, female and male readers alike will enjoy this solidly written book, one that will keep you on the edge of your seat and satisfy that craving for an entertaining novel with heart.

"Justice Buried" is another great addition to the "Memphis Cold Case" series. If you've missed the first book in the series, don't worry - this one can be read as a stand alone novel. But honestly, you are missing out if you skipped over the first book, so make sure you check out "Justice Delayed" as well. Bradley has delivered up a winning series of novels thus far and I can't wait to see what's in store next! I award this book a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
