"Soul Raging" returns readers to the world of Team Reaper, zeroing in on Leif Metcalfe, who is seeking answers to the months that are missing from his memory and what really happened to him during that time. The novel moves at a swift pace, alternating between the point of view of Leif, and that of his various teammates who are seeking to uncover whether he's actually a traitor or not, and how the prophecies from the Book of the Wars fit into everything going on. The dialogue and the banter between the team makes for some fun reading, as does the many twists and turns in the novel where you aren't always exactly sure who the good guys and who the bad guys are. The multiple characters are well developed and readers will enjoy getting to know them in a deeper way in this third installment, along with the romance that Kendig has somehow woven into the tale in the midst of the battles going on.
Those readers who haven't yet had the chance to pick up one of the books in this series would really be best served to grab all three right away and dive right in. You certainly will not be disappointed with the first two books of the series, and this finale hits all the right notes to bring the series home in epic fashion. If you are like me, you will read the epilogue with a smile on your face. I award this novel a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars and encourage you to dive in as soon as you can!
