Fun and Imaginative book: "Arcade and the Triple T Token" by Rashad Jennings

While hanging out at the local library gathering his regular stack of books to read, 11-year-old Arcade has an unexpected encounter with an elderly woman who bestows upon him a golden arcade token. At first, Arcade has no idea of the significance of the coin he is now wearing around his neck. And as he adjusts to a new city, a new school, and twin bullies who seem determined to make his life miserable, he isn't sure what the future will hold for him. But when he and his sister Zoe are whisked away on one adventurous journey after another, he soon realizes that his life is richer than he even hoped for!

Rashad Jennings has crafted a fun and imaginative tale in this first novel in the series, "Arcade and the Triple T Token". My children were all immediately attracted to the book, from the bright novel to the intriguing plot, and we all found that it did not disappoint! The story zings along, and youth will be able to recognize themselves within its pages, from his struggles and uncertainties to the thirst for adventure that drives Arcade and Zoe forward. As a parent, I appreciate the way that these siblings are so close to and look out for each other. I'm always on the look out for books that are full of clean, wholesome fun that truly entertains my kids - and this book definitely fits the bill! I encourage parents and their children to pick up a copy of this book, and then keep a look out for the coming books in the series as well. Jennings has definitely penned a winner.

I award this novel a solid rating of 4 out of 5 stars. My family and I can't wait to see what is next in store for Arcade, Zoe and friends!

Rashad Andre Jennings is a former National Football League running back. He was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He also played for the Oakland Raiders and the New York Giants. Jennings played college football at the University of Pittsburgh, but made the difficult choice to transfer to Liberty University to be by the side of his ailing father. Upon becoming a free agent in the NFL, Rashad took his athleticism to the stage of ABC’s hit show “Dancing With The Stars”.
