MY REVIEW
Marilynn Chadwick has written a book that absolutely breathes with God's presence and purpose. The book is very well-written, easy to read, and practical. The personal stories of answered prayers that Chadwick has experienced made for a riveting read, and I learned so much from her focus on being mindful of how God answers our prayers and on having a spirit of thanksgiving. The practical resources in the book are incredibly useful, both for an individual reader or for use in a Bible study or life group, and I plan to implement many of her suggestions into my own prayer life. By the time I closed the book, I felt challenged to get on my knees and spend more time with God, convicted of times I don't put him first in my life, and excited by the reminder about how amazing it is that God chooses to move through our prayers! Sometimes He Whispers, Sometimes He Roars is an impressive debut into the world of non-fiction, and I hope that Chadwick has future works planned!
I highly recommend this book on prayer, and suggest you plan on adding this one to your personal library or giving it to someone you love. I know that this book has earned a permanent place on my own shelves. I award it 5 out of 5 stars.
