A Bible children will cherish: My review of "Baby's Little Bible" (Sarah Toulmin; illustrated by Kristina Stephenson)

Publisher: Lion Children’s Books, distributed by Kregel Publications
Publication: November 2011

Sarah Toulmin is a mom who decided to create a retelling of twenty favourite Bible Stories, everything from the story of David and Goliath to Jonah fleeing God's call to go to Ninevah. She has partnered with illustrator Kristina Stephenson to bring to life these simple but profound stories.

This young children's version of the Bible is sure to capture the attention of your little ones, from it's padded cover to it's bright, colorful pictures. The stories are simple yet contain God's truths as well. My own children loved the way the stories were told, and huddled around the Bible to look at the wonderful pictures, including my toddler son who held remarkably still while the stories were being read! The stories were the perfect length to hold their attention, and are sure to be requested again and again.

My daughters said "I love this Bible!" and "it's great!". They especially thought the pictures were neat. From the mouths of babes...they think your kids will like this book!

I strongly recommend this Bible and give it 4 out of 5 stars.
